Heating Element: The heating element is a critical feature in deciding a flat iron because it controls: Heat up time, Sustains constant temperature, & maintains overall Heat Output.  Maintaining a constant temperature during each pass is vital to the performance of a flat iron.   Flat irons lose heat after each application from the heat transferring to your hair.  Flat irons with a good heating element have a quick Recovery Time which keeps the iron at a constant temperature.

Note: Because consumer grade flat irons use cheap PTC heaters, they can not sustain a constant temperature. This is why you have to make several passes thru your hair to get it straight.  Over time this also causes more hair damage.

Users Tip: Hair Length and Hair Texture varies among users.  We have discovered through tests & research we got optimum results at 370 degrees F. Thick hair might require a higher temperature, while thin & fragile hair requires less heat. A variable heat control is a nice feature.

Users Tip: Plate Size.  Flat irons are available in a variety of plate sizes ranging from ½” to 2 “. We have found the most versatile plate sizes are between 1.00” to 1.25”.  A plate size of 1.00” will suit a variety of hair textures.
