How to Fight Humidity from Hair

With the weather changing one of the biggest hair issues is humidity! Here are some tips on how to fight humidity and keep it from ruining your hairstyle!
- When blow drying your hair, put your hair dryer on the cool setting to ensure hair is completely dry (hair will feel cold and damp if not) as well as the cool hair helps set the hair.
- After drying your hair work in a hair treatment like H2Pro Silk Hair Treatment before using your flat iron or curling iron. The heat from
your hair tools will help the product to sink into your hair and fight frizz from humid weather. - When styling your hair with your flat iron, go over small sections and go slowly to help seal the product into the hairs cuticle for longer lasting results.
- Keep hair moisturized during humid months with shampoos and conditioners formulated to add moisture.
- A weekly deep conditioning treatment works wonders to moisturize and nourish hair!
- For very dry and/or frizzy hair try using a treatment like FHI Smoothing System Hair Treatment to help smooth and straighten curly, frizzy hair.
- When washing your hair use cool water for the final rinse as this helps to close the hair cuticle and lock in moisture.

To get volume up top tease the crown with a fine tooth hairstyling comb and then smooth the front of your hair over the teased part. Using bobby pins, secure the top and sides of hair. Sides should be smooth and the volume should be focused at the top of your head. Leave the back of your hair down, pin into an updo or secure into a ponytail. Finish with a spray of hairspray for hold.

How to Use a Curling Wand
![]()
A curling wand, aka curling rod is a simple and quick way to achieve sexy curls and waves. Another great benefit of using a curling wand is there is no annoying kink left behind from a clamp!
How to Use a Curling Wand -
- Hold the curling rod so that the handle is above your head with the rod pointing downwards. Use your other hand to wrap sections of hair
around the barrel from the top to the bottom of the wand.
- For tight curls wrap small sections of hair tightly around the barrel of the wand and hold for a few seconds before releasing hair.
- For looser curls do the same as above but wrap wider sections of hair around the barrel.
- For a more modern hairstyle, leave a couple of inches near your roots straight and don’t wind the barrel up to the root.
- For a wavy hairstyle wrap sections of hair around the barrel loosely with spacing between the wrapped sections.
*The barrel size on your curling wand will determine the size of your curls just like a curling iron.

Scarlett Johansson’s new Tousled Bob Hairstyle
With Scarlett Johansson’s girl next door charm and ability to look both sweet and sex kitten and everything in between, is one of those celebrity women we look upon for both hair and fashion trends.
Scarlett Johansson’s new Tousled Bob Hairstyle is super cute yet flirty and feminine and takes the regular bob and makes it a fresh, more modern looking hairstyle. Created by celeb stylist Orbie, here is how you too can get this Scarlett Johansson Hairstyle.
- Allow the hair’s natural movement and air-dry your hair. Avoid too much air with a blow dryer (this is great for easy summer styling!)
- To create some wave use a Texturizing Spray from the roots through the hair shaft for volume and texture.
- This cut is versatile and can be worn straight, but for more curl use a curling iron on the mid-shaft of the hair, leaving the ends out.
Oribe explains, “The key is to keep some degree of straightness, but add enough movement to make the style fresh and modern for summer.”
