Rachel McAdams Braided Hairstyle
I absolutely adore this Rachel McAdams Hairstyle! It is basically a loose french braid with lots of volume up top and a slightly ‘undone’ look.
To get this look you will need to tease the front section of your hair and use some good hairspray, I suggest Sebastian Zero Gravity Brushable hairspray. Once you have the volume, you want you want to french braid your hair, starting the braid at the crown of your head. Do not make the braid too tight, you want some pieces to fall out, or be able to pull out some odd strands once you have finished braiding your hair.
Secure with a small clear elastic and set your braided hairstyle with hairspray.

How to Prevent Hair Static

I wanted to do a quick post on how to prevent hair static because the past week I have had some major issues with this. Hair static is not only really annoying but can also be frustrating when you have spent time styling your hair to perfection only to have it cling to your face and stick out on end!
To help prevent hair static, follow these hairstyling tips;
- Moisturize! Use a deep conditioner to help fight off static
- Water based products will work better at preventing static so opt for these over petroleum based hair styling products.
- Fabric Softener sheets can help when you are out and have nothing else on hand. Keep a sheet in your purse and run it over your hair to help rid of static.
- Before using your hair iron or hair dryer apply a heat protectant or thermal styling aid that contains a moisutrizing ingredient such as Vitamin E.
- Use a flat iron or hair dryer which emits negative ions as these can help prevent static in hair.
- After styling hair use a finishing spray or hair spray to help hold hair in place and prevent static.
Bringin’ Back the 80’s – Crimped Style
It actually wasn’t too long ago that hair crimping madea comeback. Well, it looks like it’s back again…along with the neon colors and leg warmers from the 80’s!

Crimped Hairstyles were seen all over the 2010 Spring runways and ranged from flirty, feminine hairstyles to more rocker style crimped hair. To get this look you can use a hair crimper or if you don’t have one, you can braid damp hair in small sections, leave overnight, unbraid sections in the morning and voila! Crimped hair!

For those of you who with a round face shape, you know that your face shape can take away from features, however the right hair cut can help bring out and show off your best facial features.
